RESEARCH COORDINATOR POSITION The Institutes for Behavior Resources, Inc. (IBR) is an independent nonprofit research, services, and educational organization located in Baltimore, Maryland. IBR’s Applied Behavioral Biology Unit (ABB) is seeking outstanding candidates as a Research Coordinator (RC) for its diverse behavioral science activities.
The RC is a regular full-time position focused primarily on logistics, data management, and administration for the ABB’s small-group behavior, social neuroscience, behavioral economics, and operational performance research and technology developmentsupported by the NASA Human Research Program, the National Space Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI), and various organizations in the transportation sector.

Responsibilities: The Research Coordinator works under the Director of the Applied Behavioral Biology Unit and other IBR Principal Investigators. The RC operates largely autonomously, and is primarily responsible for carrying out research project plans and managing IBR's research infrastructure and other technical staff.
Core responsibilities include:
– Recruit, select, and coordinate testing with study participants
– Maintain, prepare, operate, and retrieve data fromresearch equipment
– Collect, code, and enter behavioral data
– Collect physiological data and biological samples
– Organize, archive, and manage all supplies, records, biological samples, and research databases
– Prepare formal procedural documents, project updates, and data reports; attend and participate in staff meetings
– Train and supervise junior Research Associate and Research Assistant staff
– Interface with project collaborators, technical consultants, and outside vendors to facilitate IBR's laboratory and field research activities
Requirements include:– Earned Master's degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Neuroscience, or other relevant field preferably with an experimental research focus
– Exceptional post-Bachelor's level candidates with adequate experience, skills, and professionalism may also be considered
– 2-5 years research experience, preferably full-time and including project management/logistics, data collection, data management, and staff supervision in laboratory or controlled field settings
– Quick learner with strongwork ethic, self-motivation, positive attitude and flexibility
– Excellent organizational, analytical, and administrative skills; conscientious and detail-oriented; highly professional and ethical
– Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability towork with individuals of varying cultural and professional backgrounds and skill levels
– Proficiency with computers and data processing hardware and software in a Windows environment, including familiarity with computerized psychosocial and behavioral software and online data collection methods
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office (familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and OLAP desirable but not required)
– Solid understanding and respect for experimental research design and biobehavioral research principles and goals
