Description:
Energetic, well-organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and dedicated individuals with excellent interpersonal skills are needed to work as Student Interns on a longitudinal clinical research project. This work is conducted at two locations in suburban Washington, DC, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The research project, directed by Dr. Connie Duncan, involves assessment of brain structure and function in injured service members with mild traumatic brain injury. Patients are followed over time to evaluate clinical outcome, with an emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Brain indices include event-related brain potentials, neuroimaging, and neurocognitive performance.
Responsibilities:
-Data Entry
-Scheduling
-Escorting patients
-Data scoring/QC
-Cleaning of lab equipment
-Other administrative duties
Requirements:
-Previous experience with data entry and/or detail oriented tasks
-Previous research experience
-Interest in Clinical Psychology
-One year commitment with a dedication of 6-8 hours per week during the academic year and 10-15 hours per week during the summer months
