Congratulations to Caitlin Murphy

Caitlin Murphy, '14 |
Congratulations to Caitlin Murphy, this year's winner of the
Mark S. Harper Award for Excellence in Psychology - the highest Departmental honor for a graduating senior.
The Harper Award honors the memory of Mark, who transferred to the University of Maryland in Fall, 1992. He was jointly studying psychology and social work, when during his senior year an earlier illness returned. Mark continued his studies at the pace that he could while receiving treatment and graduated in Spring, 1995. Sadly, however, he died from the illness soon thereafter. The Harper family created this award for a student who best exemplifies Mark’s perseverance, intellectual curiosity, integrity, and dedication to others.
Please join us in congratulating Caitlin on this well-deserved honor!
