Study Abroad - Gilman International Scholarship
Are you planning study abroad this Spring 2012? Are you a Pell Grant recipient and U.S. citizen?
Learn about the Gilman International Scholarship, which provides up to $5000 for Pell Grant recipients to study abroad. Last year 23 Maryland applicants won over $98,000 in Gilman scholarship awards for study abroad!
IMPORTANT: The deadline to apply for a Gilman Scholarship is fast approaching - October 4, 2011.
Your chances of a successful application will increase dramatically if you seek advice from the National Scholarships Office - please contact us promptly at [email protected] to set up an appointment and to gain access to our Blackboard resource site. There is still time to prepare a competitive application, but don't delay!
ELIGIBILITY: To apply for a Gilman Scholarship you must be a US citizen receiving Pell Grants during the semester you plan to study abroad. For the October 4, 2011 deadline you must be planning to apply to Spring 2012 study abroad programs that are at least 4 weeks long.
Please note: WINTER TERM COURSES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR GILMAN SCHOLARSHIPS.
