Research Assistants needed for Spring Social Development Projects!
Spring 2014Research Assistant positionsSocial and Moral Development LabDescription:Research assistants gain experience working one-on-one with children, interviewing, doing data entry, learning how to run statistical analyses, reading theories in social development and working one-on-one with graduate students to develop a research presentation at the end of the semester. Current research studies examine social and moral development such as children’s understanding of social inequality and resource allocation decisions, and young children’s conceptions of fairness and merit. The lab also examines ethnic and racial identity development, social exclusion, peer relationships, intergroup relations, prejudice, stereotyping as well as young children’s trust in consensus decisions. Earn EDHD 498, PSYC 479 or FMS477 Credit.
Responsibilities:- Review Developmental Psychology literature
- Meet weekly with research group
- Interview/Survey Data Entry
- Work one-on-one with graduate students to create research presentation
