The Department of Psychology is looking for two undergraduate psychology students to work with the Office of Undergraduate Studies staff this summer and for the 2016-2017 academic school year in order to assist with a variety of Departmental programs. Specifically, the Undergraduate Program Manager will:

- Lead orientation sessions for new Psychology students and assist Academic Advisors
during transfer and freshmen orientation events
- Conduct research and develop proposals for new Departmental programs
- Scan and grade course examinations using Remark Office software
- Greet students, answer phones, and schedule advising appointments
- Scan documents and update student records
- Assist office staff with various tasks as needed

Minimum Requirements:

like to begin in the summer, please indicate this in your Cover Letter. Summer hours would require at least 20 hours per week.

Who Should Apply:
Students who are a good fit for this position enjoy interacting with others and speaking publicly in a wide variety of contexts. Maturity and professionalism in written and oral communication are essential, as is the ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion. Task requirements often require proficiency in Microsoft Office, Qualtrics, SPSS and new software, so preference will be extended to those who can demonstrate their expertise or the ability to learn technical programs quickly. Ideal matches are students who are highly involved in the PSYC program (research, teaching, student organizations, internships, service, etc.) and are passionate about the school and major.

How to Apply:
- Please compile your professional Cover Letter and Resume into a single PDF document.
- Attach the file to an email and send it to Amy Johnson at [email protected]. Subject line should read: Undergraduate Program Manager Application
- Your cover letter should discuss your interest in the position and why you believe you would be a good fit. Please also specify if you would like to start in the summer or fall.
- Your resume should highlight your academic and professional experiences.

A committee of staff and students will review applications and contact applicants by early April.
