Seeking a dynamic individual with experience as an instructional assistant or life skills coach, to provide part-time ( +12 per week) skills training and organizational support for an intelligent young man on the autism spectrum. The person selected for this job must have good organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, a good sense of humor and patience, as well as the ability to listen, coach and motivate. S/he will be an important role model and teacher, while respecting the intelligence and individuality of the client. His or her goal will be to help the client grow in self-reliance and independence. Typical hours will start between 2 and 4 pm, M-F for 2-3 hours per day; some flexibility is possible.
