The Center for Leadership, Innovation, and Change with the Robert H. Smith School of Business has paid research assistant positions available for the Influence in Teams Research Lab.
Project Description:
How collective perceptions develop and influence team behaviors, influence among members, and performance. Studies in the lab span those on formal and informal leadership in virtual teams, to those focused on diversity of member differences (e.g., gender, age, or status) on team influence processes, performance, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Searching, reviewing, and analyzing existing literature
Analyzing interview themes / qualitative data coding
Managing and processing quantitative data (e.g., surveys)
Supporting survey design, development, and (online) administration
Running of lab experiments
Qualifications:
Undergraduate psychology or management major who is interested in pursuing a graduate degree in social and/or organizational research and interested in gaining experience in the research process.
Preferred knowledge and skills:
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Intellectual curiosity
Strong quantitative skills a bonus.
High ethical standards.
Compensation:
$11-13/hour (based on experience).
