Learn more about this program here ! Are you looking to better your knowledge in the psychology, social work, sociology, anthropology and other social science fields? Do you have an interest in working with children who have emotional, behavioral, educational and social challenges? The Wediko Summer Program is the place for you! The program offers 750 supervised clinical hours and two supervisions per week.
The Wediko Summer Program hires a team of talented, hardworking, fun, and supportive individuals to work in a therapeutic camp setting as Residential Counselors, Activities Instructors, and Assistant Teachers. We offer a unique opportunity for students that are interested and passionate about learning more and working with youth who have social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
The Wediko Summer Program uses a strengths-based model and trains staff extensively in behavior management, group engagement, stages of group formation, and child development theories. This paid opportunity provides students with 750 supervised hours, two supervisions per week, an Americorps stipend, and the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in the mental health field. Some of our staff even receive college credit while working with us!
