The Maryland Governor's Office for Children (GOC) is currently seeking Undergraduate and Graduate student applicants for fall academic internship opportunities.
The Governor's Office for Children operates under a vision that ll of Maryland's children will be successful in life. GOC works with family organizations, state agencies, and community partners to ensure both the availability of resources our children need to thrive and the guidance necessary to maintain a pathway of success.
GOC is located on the 15th floor of 301 West Preston street, in Baltimore City and is easily accessible by bus, light rail and metro subway.
Responsibilities:
-Assist with research and analysis of local and national issues related to child well-being
-Drafting correspondence
-Event coordination
-Assist with clerical and general support needs
Qualifications:
-Strong writing skills
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Gmail
-Coursework in political science, public policy, sociology, social work, dietetics or psychology
