Title: Assistant to Personal Development Coordinator
Description:

Assist Personal Development Coordinator with building, formatting, and designing the quarterly newsletters for Laurel, Largo, and Temple Hills Vocational Programs. Assist the Program Coordinator with instruction and guidance with the planned Tuesday Volunteering Outing. Take photographs of individuals of the day programs as they participate in the Transformation Project community activities. Catalogue and inventory photographs for grant reporting and marketing purposes.

Skills/Experience Preferred:
-Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe CS and/or Microsoft Publisher required
-Digital photography experience using an SLR camera

Estimated Number of Hours: 5-8 hours per day; Mondays and Tuesdays

Title: Personal Development Intern
Description: 
The Personal Development Intern will assist the Personal Development Coordinator on three separate ongoing projects or activities. The Personal Development Intern will have a brief meeting on Monday mornings with James Skipper, to go over that week’s job list, and schedule time accordingly.

The three ongoing project areas include:
· Redesigning the Quarterly Newsletter Template for the Three Day Programs, and importing content for the Fall/Winter Newsletter

· Photographing Personal Development Community Outings and/or updating photography inventory. Archiving photographs on the Arc “O” drive (related to Transformation Project).

· Assisting James Skipper with Community Outings as needed, under his supervision.

Title: Career Development Assistant
Description:
Research local job market, job matching, job analysis; Help plan employment workshops for Transitioning Youth Families and Students

Skills/Experience Preferred:
-Interest in researching employment opportunities, career planning, surveying local job market for people with developmental disabilities
-Great communication skills
-Available 6-10 hours per week
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
-Reliable transportation 
-Interest in supporting Youth and Adults with Developmental Disabilities
-Experience with Person Center Planning with adults or children with disabilities
-Innovative idea to support people with disabilities in supportive employment

Title: Fitness Intern Participant
Description:
Conduct mobility and range of motion assessments; Assess strength and flexibility of individuals; Assist during exercise sessions, including hands on prompting; Stage workout areas; Clean equipment and fitness area after use; Learn the names and health conditions of participants involved in fitness; Engage with staff and other individuals at
Day Programs

Skills/Experience Preferred:
-Possess an interest in wellness, sports, physical fitness and exercise
-Be familiar with various exercises
-Be familiar with exercise equipment and safety
-Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
-Have an interest in working with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities
