Today's
New York Times has a short piece on the neurological disorders of denial and neglect. If you examine individuals in acute neurological settings, some very dramatic and extraordinary examples of this can be observed on occasion and are truly unforgettable. Fortunately, it is common to see improvements in some of the more dramatic manifestations of this over the course of an individual's acute recovery, though residual problems may persist.
